The obvious answer is Inherent Vice – a new Paul Thomas Anderson movie will ALWAYS top my most anticipated list, and this year is no different. I’m a fan of the novel, but wonder if it can be turned into a good movie – but if anyone can do it, Anderson can. The others are probably just as obvious – David Fincher’s Gone Girl, Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, Alejandro G. Innaritu’s Birdman, Bennett Miller’s Foxcatcher, Mike Leigh’s Mr. Turner, David Cronenberg’s Maps to the Stars (I think the Canadian release is this fall, even if the American release isn’t until next year), etc. Mainly to big movies everyone is looking forward to.
